PCR Technology for the Suppression
of Nonspecific Amplification Products

• EnCleap (Enzymatically Cleavable Primer) is a highly specific PCR technology designed to suppress non-specific amplification products that may occur during PCR reactions by controlling the activity of the primer.

• Through the unique structure design of GeneMatrix's proprietary primer, EnCleaP technology maximizes reaction specificity, allowing users to arbitrarily adjust primer concentration, amplification rate, and the point of involvement in the amplification reaction. EnCleap technology is diversely applied in GeneMatrix's molecular diagnostic product lines, such as NeoPlex and RFMP, enhancing the specificity of each product.

Principle of Action

EnCleap is a technology that amplifies target genes by activating the previously inactivated primers with panhandle structure only at certain temperatures through the GeneMatrix core enzyme. This allows the selective amplification of the target gene, excluding non-specific amplification of multiple targets in a single test.

Key Advantages
High Inclusivity
• Primer is inactive before PCR reaction, reducing the non-specific binding. This inhibits non-specific amplification products and results in highly specific diagnostic results.
High Specificity
• The generation of non-target products is suppressed and the specific product to be targeted is maximized for high sensitivity.
High Adaptability
• EnCleap technology can be utilized in gene amplification-based molecular diagnostics such as NeoPlex, RFMP to provide improved diagnostic results.
Application Examples
  • Multiplex PCR of intramolecular proximity target

    • Simultaneous generation of target and non-targeted products

    • Observation of non-specific reactions, reduction of amplification efficiency

  • EnCleaP PCR
    EnCleaP PCR

    • Focused production of target products through EnCleaP Primer

• EnCleaP Primer is activated at the end of the PCR reaction to suppress non-specific amplification products, and the specificity and sensitivity of the target product are increased.
