Genematrix announced on July 3rd that it signed a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on June 30 to develop a multi-molecular diagnostic kit for mosquito-borne viruses such as Zika virus.

The name of the project is 'Development of Zika, Dengue, Chikungunya, Ross River Virus Multiple Gene Detectors', and the total research period is 2 years and 6 months until the end of 2019, and the total project cost is 590 million won.

The company has secured a simultaneous multiple analysis system that can quickly respond to the global outbreak and domestic inflow of mosquito-borne viruses, which have been frequent in the tropics due to global warming and increased floating population, and can accurately analyze and systematically respond to pathogens causing infection early It is expected that it will be possible to establish a rapid infectious disease response system.
